In case you don’t already watch them, I felt like I should point out to anyone who regularly uses Photoshop that there is a great resource in video tutorials (in the form of the poorly named vodcast) at photoshopkillertips.com

Photography by Yann Arthus-Bertrand

You have probably already seen one of the amazing photographs of earth taken from high above by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. They were published on many magazine covers like GEO.

What you might not know is Arthus-Bertrand´s photographs are online and many are available as wallpapers for your pc. Due to their beauty and broad scope they display the graceful quietness only the earth from above can reflect. It´s pure joy looking at my desktop now, diving into one of these images.

If you live close to Birmingham, you can visit the free exhibition, Earth from Above (Centenary Square, by the Wheel), which is a remarkable 14 years of work on this project.

By the way, Arthus-Bertrand must be a humble and lovely man; he likes taking photos of smiling people and says: “The earth is Art. The potoprapher is only a witness.”

The eye of aqui-ali

Alex, 26.05.06

Fotos by aqui-ali (top flickr photographer)

His flickr nick is aqui-ali and he is one of the top five flickr photographers i came across. His photographies are just amazing and i could look at them every sunny and rainy day. They make you feeling like catching your camera, going out and taking shots of equal easiness.

A flickr community member wrote:
A perfect distillation: the beautiful essential. The eye of aqui-ali: a phenomenon.

Enjoy!

By the end of the summer no one did believe in the launch of Hans Hyttinens photoblog Lumilux anymore.

We all were wrong. Last week Hans did get his site off the ground. An excellent photoblog was born and Hans harvested admiration for an elegant design.

Congrats from TXP Mag for a nice job!
