The word Lomo is often used to refer to the LC-A and other LOMO branded consumer cameras with which one can take, often over-saturated, snapshots. The Lomo Effect is pretty popular and can be faked by Photoshop or Gimp.

- designmeltdown.com (if you haven’t already popped this site into your RSS feed, you probably should now. This site is full of great examples of how web designers utilize all kinds of colors and combinations to convey a central idea.)
