“Sex sells,??? said Paul Scrivens. This beeing said, Paul Scrivens and Sam Sugar just started SexNotWork – the world’s first sex-blog network. We do not doubt it will be a success though Paul S. already gained experiences in networking by beeing co-founder and CEO of 9rules. And yes, sex sells. Or shouldn´t we better say: porn sells?
However, 9rules recent growth was pretty fast. From 15 to 18 members last year some 150 blogs joined in the past months. Now 9rules just started a storm in the blogworld by kicking out some of their members. Girlspoke was the first blog beeing removed by Paul S. because they feature sexually explicit content. Next Pearsonified was dropped due to it´s affiliation with another network (Erati). College Startup had to leave for being involved with BlogMedia.
On the 9rules blog Skrivens just explained the rules: no sex, no involvement with another network!
Strange enough either College Startup´s nor Pearsonified´s affiliation with other networks can be regarded strong in any way. Girlsspoke´s content contains some lightweighted sex, far from beeing porn in anyway though sex, that is correct.
The Blog Herad comments: ... I still see a conflict in being the CEO of 9rules, particularly now its being pitched at “children and teenagers??? basically being a porn king “behind the scenes??? ... it’s bizarre, dangerous…maybe even insane for lack of better words to be running a “family friendly??? 9rules network and running a porn network at the same time because others will judge Scrivs on this ...
9rules latest announcement on their rules and regulations came much to late. The impression of censorship arises.
A 9rules reader writes: I’m not going to pay attention to your network anymore though. You’re crossing that subtle line between curating and censoring and that’s just not for me.
Networks depend on their members. Therefor they should talk and discuss certain issues with their members and not hire and fire as they like.
Well, sex sells and clicks/traffic do to. Noone knows that better than Skrivens: “SexNotWork is going to connect smart, educated, sexy people with smart, educated, sexy blogs.
Wonder when 9rules readers will be connected to SexNotWork? And all the high quality content suppliers of 9rules have helped.
